| Why? |
You know that when you find yourself asking rhetorical “why” questions, which are always unanswerable, that it’s a sign that you’ve been holding on to some belief that’s not true. That conflicts with reality. Like “Why did this happen to ME??” is really a belief in “bad things only happen to bad people - or other people”. Like the Universe is really conspiring to cause you problems. As if you ought to be immune from the slings and arrows. Like you’re the only one in the world that shouldn’t have a bad day. Or “How could you do or say xyz”? As if other people should know what you’re thinking and what all your triggers are. Or like you don’t source all of your pain anyway. Like you didn’t create the Universe in the first place so you could play at being bitter in it. |
